From Mikkeli:
Drive on road no 5 12 south of Mikkeli. Take a right turn to Otava. Drive through Otava along the Hirvensalmi road for approximately 18 km. Take a left turn at an intersection with a guide sign to “Luontolahja”. You are now on Yrttitie road; continue on this road for 200 m to reach the yard of Satulinna.
 
From Helsinki:
Drive on road no 5 for approximately 200 km and take a left turn at the Hirvensalmi intersection (sign “Hirvensalmi 15”, road no 429, a road to the right to Mäntyharju at the same intersection). Drive through Hirvensalmi Parish Village (“kirkonkylä”) and approximately 3 km after the village. Turn to a road leading to Mikkeli. Drive for approximately 1 km and take a right turn at the top of a hill: you have reached Yrttitie road. Continue for approximately 200 m and you are in the yard of Satulinna.
